Hiring Full Time and Part time Mandarin Teacher (South of Market)
Program Description:
Presidio Knolls School is expanding and is looking for bright enthusiastic, talented Mandarin teachers for our preschool and afterschool children. Presidio Knolls School opened in 2008 and works towards developing a strong image of the child in a Mandarin immersion classroom. The guiding principle behind Presidio Knolls School’s program is to nurture the infinite capabilities of young children. This approach allows children to investigate and create meaning through play, understand that all learning is connected, and experience every event as an opportunity to gain a new and exciting understanding of the world. Our children have opportunities to learn math through music, acquire language through art, develop their abilities to relate to one another through play, and solve problems together in the playground and during snack time. At Presidio Knolls, teachers are students, students are teachers, and parents are partners in a collective learning environment.
Position:
We are seeking educators who are interested in working collaboratively and have aspirations to grow professionally with the long-term vision of the school.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor Degree
· 12 ECE units or equivalent
· at least 3 months teaching experience with preschool age children in the US.
· Fluent in Mandarin and English.
Duties:
* Work with program director to provide regular feedback, modeling, and direction to assistant teacher to ensure that classroom practices and curriculum are consistent
with best practices for early care and education for preschoolers.
* Comfortable with and awareness of new teaching methods and technologies
* Use Mandarin to interact with and provide instruction to children in the classroom in order to assist children in becoming proficient in Mandarin and English languages.
* Communicate regularly, clearly and positively with a diverse student/parent community and strongly encourage and motivate their participation.
* Contribute to a joyful environment with a positive attitude, words and tone.
* Maintain a safe, healthy and inspiring learning environment for children.
Salary: range $ 28,000 - $ 37,000. (based on skill and experience)
